Hi, I’m Charlotte, I was diagnosed age 23 but my symptoms started age 5, now 48 I live with chronic pain and am currently not working.
My 30 year career in the NHS includes being a Sister in Critical Care, a Clinical Lead in IT and a Database Manager for the Diabetes Team.
I am married with 2 boys aged 10 and 12. I love doing craft and do colouring and drawing to take my mind of my pain and relax. I am a recovering alcoholic with 4 years sobriety, like EDS I am very open about this which enables me to help others.
I was made redundant from my last post in the NHS Dec 25, this has given me the time to volunteer for EDS UK and relight the Stevenage group to connect with others and chat.
