Scotland 18-30 Group

Hi, Hi! I’m Jess (she/her), I facilitate online Support Meetings for people aged 18-30 living with EDS and HSD in Scotland.

I have hEDS (along with PoTS, MCAS, and other co-morbid conditions) so I know first-hand some of the challenges of living with EDS. Although we’re all affected differently by EDS and HSD, there’s so much we share that others can struggle to understand. Whether it’s navigating our health journeys, relationships, careers or studies, managing symptoms or dealing with the medical system—it can feel overwhelming at times!

These meetings are a place to support and encourage one another through the trials but also to celebrate our wins, big and small. I know a “Support Meeting” can sound intimidating, but it’s just a name for a meeting of like-bodied people to meet and connect. From sharing tips and tricks to just being with people who “get it”, connecting with others living with EDS and HSD and the sense of understanding and community is invaluable and a good reminder that you’re not alone.
