Hi, I am Melanie, well what can I say about myself. If you knew me you’d probably say a lot.

I was diagnosed 25 years ago with hypermobility. Very little was known then, I just got given an arthritis leaflet that had one line about it.

The difference now is amazing. Look at the wealth of knowledge/ support we can now access. That is thanks to charities like EDS UK and their staffs wonderful work. After 25 years I have learned a lot, not all helpful but worth it.

I want to make our invisible illness visible not just for me and my family but for everyone! I know what it feels like to be ill and have no support or not be believed. No one should ever feel like that.

So if you are able to come and join me at support group meetings! We can be a dazzle of zebra’s together…
