Channel Islands

Heather
My name is Heather, and after experiencing my own long journey to an EDS diagnosis, I’m passionate about supporting others as they navigate both the challenges of getting diagnosed and learning how to live their best life within a supportive community.
Adapting to mobility aids, managing the impact of surgery, and adjusting from a previously busy and active lifestyle has been a deeply personal challenge. Throughout this journey, I found invaluable support and information through EDS UK, which made a significant difference to me.
Along the way, I met many people who felt there were limited opportunities to connect with others facing the physical and mental health challenges of EDS. This inspired me to volunteer as an Area Coordinator for the Channel Islands. My goal is to help create spaces where individuals can meet, share experiences, access the wealth of information available through EDS UK, and feel supported—both face-to-face and online.
