I am Emma. I live in Bangor, North Wales. I am diagnosed with Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome with marfanoid phenotype along with many of the extra issues and co-morbidities that can come with that.
I really want to help and make a difference to people in this community. I know how hard it is from personal experience to be listened to or diagnosed with the condition, especially from the point of view as a teenager/young women.
I study speech and language/linguistics at Bangor University and have a passion for research in
this area and its association with Ehlers Danlos.
I also volunteer at my local hospital in Bangor, Ysbyty Gwynedd, and advocate for the condition in
the area as much as possible.
