Actor Ellie Henry lives with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and was diagnosed at age 15 following a number of joint dislocations. Ellie uses a wheelchair part-time and other mobility aids, to help manage pain, fatigue and joint instability.
We’re really pleased to be sharing this new video from Ellie Henry, created especially for EDS UK! Alongside this, Ellie has been working with us to share practical tips and tricks for living with hEDS, which will feature as part of our new Young People’s section on the EDS UK website, coming soon.
Ellie is currently on screen in the Netflix series Run Away, adapted from a novel by Harlan Coben. The show has sparked important conversations about ambulatory wheelchair use and disability visibility.
